RARE Vintage BOXED Analogue MITSUBISHI MT-7 Mobile

For sale is an extremely rare BOXED analogue ETACS "MITSUBISHI MT-7" handheld portable cellular mobile phone dating back to the early 90's (1993). This analogue mobile phone is an extremely rare vintage collectable item due to it being complete in its original box with its accessories. The phone is in as new condition, It looks as though it had very little use if any. It is very difficult to source these phones in excellent condition, you just do not see them like this. This vintage piece comes complete in its original box with all its original accessories, including a A/C mains power adaptor, desktop charger, user guide, accessories leaflet, one standard battery and one extended life battery. The phone is cosmetically in excellent condition for its age, and would make an ideal retro gift. The phone powers up ok and remains on when plugged in, all digits press correctly and it makes the right tones, but as the analogue ETACS infrastructure is now switched off, it can't be used for calls anymore. This is a wonderful piece for someone’s collection and you will probably not see one again in this condition. Aerial is straight, phone has no scratches, no chips, no cracks, just a good genuine vintage phone. Due to the rarity of this phone I can guarantee that you will not be able to source another one like this for sale, if you don't believe me, google it, the only one I have come across is on retrophone and that one is in their Analogue Museum category and is not for sale, hence its rarity. Some history: The Mitsubishi Group is a Japanese group of companies that can trace its history back to 1870 when it specialised in shipping. An emphasis on technological development resulted in it entering the telecommunications arena in the 1960s. The Mitsubishi MT-7 mobile phone was introduced in1993. In addition to the normal phone functions it had an address book that could store up to 99 telephone numbers and associated names with speed dial access and an Alpha scan function for searching the entries by name. It provided PIN code security, a clock with alarm function and a range of call timers. It was approved for connection to any TACS analogue network such as those provided by Cellnet and Vodafone. The MT-7 earned Mitsubishi three Cellnet Caesar Awards. These were the Winner's Trophy in the Call Security section and Awards of Merit in both the Features Innovation and Clarity of User Documentation sections.
